What is HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is a multi-step medi-facial that cleanses, exfoliates and draws out congestion, then infuses hydrating and antioxidant serums chosen for your skin on the day. It suits most skin types, including sensitive skin, and you can return to your routine straight after.
Who it is for
- Dull or tired-looking skin
- Dehydration and rough texture
- Congestion, blackheads and visible pores
- Skin preparation before an occasion
How it works
- 1
Cleanse and gentle exfoliation lift away dead skin cells and surface oil.
- 2
A mild acid solution loosens debris in the pores, followed by gentle suction extraction.
- 3
Hydrating, antioxidant serums are infused into the freshly cleansed skin.
- 4
Optional LED light or a targeted booster serum, if your plan includes one.
What to expect
before
Arrive with clean skin if you can. Tell us about any retinoids, peels or new medicines from the past two weeks.
during
You lie back in a private room while the handpiece moves over your skin. Most clients describe a cool, light suction with minimal discomfort.
after
Skin looks refreshed and feels hydrated. Mild pinkness, if any, usually settles within an hour.
Aftercare
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser for the rest of the day.
- Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen and reapply when outdoors.
- Skip exfoliants, retinoids and steam for 48 hours.
- Wait 24 hours before heavy makeup if your skin feels sensitive.
Tell us first if
- Active rash, sunburn or open skin infection on the face
- Recent isotretinoin course (tell us first)
- Known allergy to an ingredient in the serums used
Questions, answered
How soon before an event should I book?
Two to five days before is a comfortable window. Your skin has time to settle, and the hydration is still at its peak.
Is HydraFacial suitable for acne-prone skin?
For congestion and mild breakouts, often yes. Active, inflamed acne may need a different plan first, which our aesthetic experts will explain at your consultation.
How is it different from a regular salon facial?
It uses a medical-grade device for extraction and serum infusion, and the serums are chosen for your skin after an assessment, rather than one routine for everyone.
